1999 In the beginning there was the material! Enthusiasm about the material carbon and the desire to realise our own creative ideas, which were also to be of technically high standards, resulted in the founding of the company Becker Carbon in 1999. The company's founder, Christian Becker, had previously gained extensive experience in the aerospace industry.
Already during our first year we produced components for an aerodynamic design by Volkswagen AG, improving by twice the figures previously achieved in wind tunnel measurements. In the same year Christer Lindholm won the ProSuperbike championship title of motorcyclists. A modified carbon covering made a crucial contribution to this success, improving the aerodynamics and thus optimising the engine output characteristic.

2000 was the year we went into measurement engineering. An alidade for an index arm measuring machine set truly new standards, which, thanks to its low weight, was able to increase the measuring potential by more than 60%. The first off-tool accuracy is below 0.03 mm with deflection and torsion.
Becker Carbon also picked up more points on motor sport racing tracks. Jörg Teuchert from the Yamaha Supersport Team won the world championship. And a Porsche GT2 came in first place in the Divinolcup championship. It was Becker Carbon parts that made a decisive contribution to the victory, because they improved the vehicles' aerodynamics, weight and performance.

2001 The year our mechanical engineering department supplemented our product portfolio. Machinery components were produced with angle tolerances of 0.002 mm. These proved themselves through their low weight and were also a trump with their immunity to x-rays and heat expansion.

2002 Our idea: to provide handicapped people with more quality of life. This mindset prompted Christian Becker to design a wheelchair based on carbon as early as the 1990s. In 1994 he received an international designer's award for this wheelchair, which he had developed in the name of another company. The medical equipment field now also has a permanent place at Becker Carbon.

2004 Quality . . . . by means of a high claim Becker Carbon´s quality has always been visible to the eye and that is why only perfectly converted assemblies result from any tooling.
The 3D-coordinate-free-style shape measuring machine is a new component that is able to precise the manufacturing even more.
And the outcome of this is an improvement in quality management: All of the incoming and outgoing tools, moulds, patterns and assemblies can be precisely measured in a maximum.

2005 Being nominated  for  the  Big Price for  Medium-Sized Businesses of the  Oskar-Patzelt Beneficence, the company  obtains an appreciated recognition from the economic commercial environment. In the aerospace division Becker Carbon is going to be a supplier for the AIRBUS projects. Eurocopter is also one of their „flying“ customers.

2006 At the beginning of the year the new production hall – which was started  in the  middle of 2005 – will be finished. The whole  production process and administrative department will take place within this new
company building to guarantee a more effective and loyal way of working
with the slogan: innovation through competence.
The most appealing concept of this production hall mixed with an office
gains a lot of feedback from its customers.

2007 The foundation of the Becker Fräs- & Modellbau GmbH is just another step to be fully at service for our customers. Even  though it is located in the same building, his company remains to be independent. That structure makes it possible to gain a much better overview, flexibility and efficiency of the production plant.
Our activities inside the F1 sportsracing together with Scuderia Toro Rosso and BMW-Sauber are well worthy of being mentioned, too.

2008 Starting from autumn the production hall will be expanded by another 1200 m².
The plan of this expansion was set up in February 2008. At present this hall
is being built and with approximately 50 employees at Becker Carbon the company has met all its expectations for the last two years.
